Installation Guide for Air-Cooled Diesel Engine Connecting Rod

Critical: Always consult your engine's service manual first. Ensure the engine is clean and the crankshaft journal is spotless.

1. Preparation: Verify the new connecting rod, bearings, and bolts are the correct specifications. Lubricate the rod bearings and crankshaft journal with clean engine oil.

2. Installation: Carefully position the connecting rod onto the crankshaft journal. Install the rod cap, ensuring its orientation matches the rod (match marks must align). The bearing tangs must seat correctly in their notches.

3. Torquing: Hand-thread the new rod bolts. Using a calibrated torque wrench, tighten them in three progressive stages to the exact specification listed in the manual. Never reuse old bolts. After torquing, the rod should rotate freely without binding.

4. Final Check: Rotate the crankshaft through several full revolutions to confirm smooth, unobstructed movement. Re-check bolt torque after a short initial run-in period.

Warning: Incorrect installation can cause catastrophic engine failure. Proper torque and cleanliness are non-negotiable.

The cargo will be more secure. If you have other special requirements, we can pack according to your requirements.
