A double nozzle head looks unremarkable, but it is the part on a sprayer most often fitted by mistake. The D-5 double nozzle head is made for agricultural sprayers, spray guns and high pressure spray machines. The black curved body carries two nozzles, one pointing up and one out to the side, and the M14x1.5 thread at the base screws straight onto the lance.
Both nozzles are knurled screw caps, and each one is marked with a pattern code — this head has a PL and an RL. The code sets the spray shape and the droplet size, and different jobs call for different patterns. Pick the wrong one and you either waste liquid or leave streaks of uneven coverage. When fitting it, match the code on your old part.
How do you choose? Check the thread first: a lance port with the same M14x1.5 spec takes it straight on, while a different thread will not fit. Then note the nozzle mouths: the caps unscrew, so a blocked nozzle can be taken out and cleaned without throwing the whole head away. If the body cracks, the cap threads strip, or the nozzle will not seal once refitted, replace the complete head.
For field and orchard spraying, or for parts sellers, keep a set of D-5 double nozzle heads on the shelf. One head gives you two patterns, so you are never short of a nozzle on the job.
