Brief Introduction to the Use and Maintenance of Diesel Engine Air Filters
The air filter is the "lungs" of a single-cylinder diesel engine. Its condition directly affects the engine's power, fuel consumption and lifespan. Correct usage and regular maintenance are of utmost importance.
Usage Notes:
1. Sealing inspection: Ensure that all connection parts of the filter are securely fastened, and the shell is free from damage. Prevent unfiltered air from "short-circuiting" into the cylinder and causing excessive wear.
2. Environmental avoidance: Try to avoid working for a long time in extremely dusty environments. If it is necessary to use in such an environment, shorten the maintenance cycle.
3. Standard operation: When installing the filter element, make sure it is in place, ensure the sealing gasket is intact and flat, and never start the engine without installing the air filter.
Maintenance Tips:
1. Regular cleaning: Every 8-12 hours of operation (or shorten the cycle depending on the severity of the environment), a check and cleaning should be conducted. For dry paper filters, gently tap or use low-pressure air to blow out from the inside outwards. It is strictly prohibited to have oil-water contact or scrubbing. For oil bath filters, the metal filter screen needs to be cleaned and the engine oil should be replaced to the specified level.
2. Timely replacement: If the paper filter is damaged, contaminated with oil, or still severely clogged after cleaning, it must be replaced immediately with the original factory part or a qualified spare part. It is not allowed to use it勉强 (approximately meaning "barely" or "hesitantly").
3. Overall cleaning: During maintenance, the accumulated dust inside the filter housing and the intake pipe should also be cleaned simultaneously.
By adhering to proper usage and regular maintenance, it is possible to effectively prevent early wear of the engine, ensuring its long-term, efficient and stable operation.
